Amanda Samuels is the founder and principal lawyer at Align Counsel. Her practice focuses on corporate and commercial law for founders and small to mid-sized businesses.
Amanda’s perspective is shaped by experience on both the legal and business sides of a deal. She practiced corporate law at a leading Bay Street firm, working on complex transactions including financings and M&A, and earlier worked in investment banking, covering banks, asset managers, and financial technology companies.
Amanda holds a JD from Western University and an HBA from the Ivey Business School, graduating with distinction from both.
She founded Align Counsel on a straightforward belief: the calibre of legal advice that Bay Street reserves for its largest clients should be within reach of the businesses that need it just as much.
